Meeting #3 - 25.10

Present:
  • Adriana,
  • Andrej
  • David(sick)
  • Eoin
Another Thursday meeting. This time, we didn't have an agenda to work off, so it was a lot more creative - it was something we needed. After feedback from Sinead and Mark, we decided to stick with the idea. After all, how many times can we change it? It won't get any better.
So,  Andrej proposed to make a one-page website and create few short(15-20seconds) clips of the small ideas we had. We thought this is a great idea as it will let us experiment on a smaller scale and learn editing and cutting now, on small projects, rather than on the final piece.

The ideas we came up with:

  • Guy in a coffee shop with his phone and earphones has no idea that there is a war going on behind him. [Phone takes up our whole attention]
  • Guy walks down the street, proud of his camera's lens, but another one shows up with longer one. [We feel like we are measured and judged by our technology]
  • Girl goes to a gym only to take photos for her instagram, and then leaves. [People lie on social media]
  • Parents fighting and a child tries to repair the connection.
  • Difference between connection today and before. - Sending text compared to letters.
  • Guy is silent in a class, driving home, parents are talking to him, he doesn't hear or care. He gets back home, turns on his device and the world regains it's colors and sound.
